Resumen del Libro

Fragen der Norm wurden für das Spanische bis weit ins 20. Jahrhundert ausschließlich von der Real Academia Española geklärt. Unter den Vorzeichen der Globalisierung und der sich immer stärker etablierenden Konzeption der Plurizentrik teilt die Sprachakademie diese Rolle zunehmend mit neuen Akteuren. Neben den Akademien in Spanischamerika treten vor allem die Massenmedien auf dem Feld der spanischen Sprachkultur in Erscheinung. In Fragen praktischer Sprachkodifikation kooperieren sie systematisch mit den Sprachakademien, zugleich aber fordern sie diese heraus, indem sie den Sprachgebrauch der Hispanophonie jenseits von Sprachpolitik und Didaktik mit eigenen, massenkommunikativ vermittelten Normen prägen. Die Beiträge des Bandes beleuchten diesen Zusammenhang empirisch. Las cuestiones referentes a la norma del español, hasta bien entrado el siglo XX, se han resuelto exclusivamente en el seno de la Real Academia Española. Bajo los auspicios de la globalización y del pluricentrismo lingüístico, la Academia de la Lengua va compartiendo esta función con nuevos actores. Aparte de las Academias hispanoamericanas, estos son ante todo los medios de comunicación masiva. En la práctica de la codificación lingüística, dichos medios colaboran sistemáticamente con las Academias de la Lengua; al mismo tiempo que las desafían marcando el uso de la lengua mediante sus normas propias, más allá de la política lingüística y la enseñanza de la lengua. Las contribuciones reunidas en este volumen abren perspectivas teóricas, ideológicas y empíricas sobre este fenómeno.

Aspect and the Categorization of States

In this work, the Spanish copulae ser and estar are argued to be aspectual morphemes. Their binary opposition reflects the universal aspectual values ÃÃplus or minusÂ¨PerfectiveÂ¨, which are the same ones overtly expressed by the preterite and imperfect past tense forms in Spanish.
