Resumen del Libro

El libro es producto de un estudio multidisciplinar realizado en el marco del subsidio otorgado por ANCyPT, FONCYT para el Proyecto de Investigación en Ciencia y Técnica, 2015-3831,"Historia y patrimonio de la Argentina moderna. Inmigración, transferencia y readaptación de saberes en las dimensiones simbólicas y materiales de los teatros del litoral rioplatense y su conservación" dirigido por el Investigador Responsable Fernando Devoto. Basado en una selección de cinco teatros del litoral fluvial argentino -Rafael de Aguiar (San Nicolás), Tres de Febrero (Paraná), Coliseo (Zárate), Italia (Gualeguay) y Solari (Goya)- construidos entre 1879 y 1928 y que presentan distintos estados de conservación hasta la actualidad. Tiene como objetivo mostrar su calidad arquitectónica y artística a través de textos, fotografías y la confección de gráficos realizados en el marco de la investigación. La publicación tiene como propósito la valoración patrimonial y su divulgación.

Hannes Meyer

Life and work of polemic architect and urbanist Meyer (b. Switzerland), one of the most important functionalists of the 1920's. The former director of the Bauhaus, he worked for the Post-Revolutionary Regimes in Mexico as the director of the Instituto del Urbanismo y Planification from 1942 through 1949, while also becoming the editor of the collective graphic workshop Taller de Grafica Popular (TGP) from 1947 to 1949. Many plates of his architectural designs and the structural diagrams Meyer used for the Bauhaus and in IUP in Mexico.
