"Follows a fictional Sheffield band from Mexico, in the style of legendary magazine 'The Face' ... The context of the event [Art Sheffield 05] was 'Spectator T', a fictitious art goer without exposure to contemporary aesthetics, and the idea was to present artworks that would challenge this person's preconceived ideas about art. Thus, Toledo created a cover band that sang songs by local Sheffield groups, and named it after the cult Sheffield nightclub, The Limit, which closed in 1992. The project "Realities and Desires" by Susana Casarin began in January of 2007 in some areas of high marginalization in the State of Veracruz and in the districts of Netzahualcyotl and Ecatepec on the outskirts of Mexico City. Her photographs graphically documented the life stories of local transvestites and transgender persons highlighting in her images the stigma, discrimination and marginalization of gender suffered by this vulnerable social group.
