A detailed study that examines the architecture of Fernando Martínez Sanabria (b. Spain, lived and worked in Colombia since 1938- d. 1991) throughout one of his most recognized buildings: the building of the Caja Agraria (1965) located in Barranquilla. The author examines this commercial project from its initial design process and proposes an analytical view of the building through its anatomical construction systems of light and semi-darkness developed by architect Martínez Sanabria.

The present study identifies and documents the existing 19th architecture ornamental patrimony of the city of Bogot featuring the history and personages involved in the creation of sculptures, relieves, moldings and carvings produced between 1880 and 1930.
