An interdisciplinary and intercultural perspective through eleven studies on diverse aspects related to jade: geochemical and archaeometric analysis, works of experimental archaeology and anthropological research that, together, provide a broad overview of the socio-cultural significance and the deep symbolic and ideological connotations that jade and other green stones had in various regions of ancient Mexico, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, China and Korea.
