Si bien el umbral es la pieza que define el límite entre dos espacios debajo de una puerta, este texto presenta la noción de "Umbral" como transición. Conceptualiza la idea del ingreso a un edificio como un "lugar" que no es adentro ni afuera pero que es al mismo tiempo las dos cosas. The shopping mall is one of the typologies most succesfully developed in the twentieth century. The work of the Mexican architural firm Grupo Arquitech has ventured into this fertile territory. Directed by Juan José Sánchez since 1987. In the space of a few years, Arquitech has designed the main malls in Mexico, perfecting a model that accurately define the limit. This is the first major documentation of their work.
