En el transcurso de su vida monástica el P. Pedro fue escribiendo sus reflexiones sobre los Evangelios dominicales de los tres ciclos que actualmente celebramos en la liturgia. Fiel a su estilo coloquial, breve y conciso, sus meditaciones "jugosas", nos transmiten siempre un mensaje de esperanza, saliendo al encuentro de las preocupaciones de nuestro tiempo. Se suma la colaboración del P. Enrique que, a continuación del texto evangélico, enriquece el libro agregando algún aporte de los autores de los primeros siglos de la era cristiana.
