Autores tan disimiles como Pavic y Paul Auster, Moravia y Dylan Thomas, Cortazar y Arreola se dan cita para dar por cierta la definicion de Cabrera Infante: "Literatura es todo lo que se lea como tal."

Nieves Alberola investiga en aquest llibre sobre l'estat que pot determinar-se com a subjecte postmodern davant les constants crides d'atenció per part de filòsofs i sociòlegs sobre la seva possible desaparició.
